    Special Zones Proposed to Regulate Times Square Performers

    Elmo, Ironman, the Naked Cowboy and the rest of the Disney gang may soon be restricted to designated zones after the City Council passed a bill that allows for creation of special areas for the animated characters and desnudas of Times Square.

    The New Cool: Program Encourages Kids to Read

    New York City Councilmember Andy King and The New York Public Library have teamed up to show Bronx kids that “Reading is Cool!” in a one-month pilot program. If it goes well, they may expand the program to the rest of the city.
